4 Tips to Prevent Heart Disease

This February we are celebrating American Heart Month. Our partners have a great lineup of valuable information that is provided for you to understand the ways you can be proactive in preventing heart disease.

Heart disease can begin at any age. When you consider the risk factors they’re relatively easy to avoid. Smoking, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are just a few.

The 4 tips I found to be most helpful in my understanding of the ways to avoid the disease are:

  1. Don’t smoke, or quit smoking.

  2. Manage conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Remember our transportation service can get you to important medical appointments to support you doing this!

  3. Stay active.

  4. And… eat healthy. Every bite towards that goal helps! Our transportation services will help you get to the grocery store for healthy nutrition. Call us to schedule that!

The reason we bring these educational tips to you is because we care about you. You are the HEART of our organization and our purpose is to keep you healthy and maintain your independence. We love our clients and always want the best of outcomes for them. That is why we diligently work to build strategic relationships in the community with providers, resources and people who can support you in times when you most need it. Please remember that we are here for you and support furthering your understanding of services, care, funding and financial services in greater detail to make a well informed and educated decisions. We support your safety, independence and overall well-being. We may not have all the answers, but because we make it such a great effort to know great providers in our community, we know people who can help you with answers, solutions and peace of mind. Call us anytime and we will engage the support you’re needing.

Until next time, stay well!
