4 Tips to Prevent Heart Disease

This February we are celebrating American Heart Month. Our partners have a great lineup of valuable information that is provided for you to understand the ways you can be proactive in preventing heart disease.

Heart disease can begin at any age. When you consider the risk factors they’re relatively easy to avoid. Smoking, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are just a few.

The 4 tips I found to be most helpful in my understanding of the ways to avoid the disease are:

  1. Don’t smoke, or quit smoking.

  2. Manage conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Remember our transportation service can get you to important medical appointments to support you doing this!

  3. Stay active.
